Dr. Prokisch József

Dr. József Prokisch

is a chemist, who deal with food innovation and product development. Developer of more than forty food products, inventor in several patents, founder of new companies, university researcher and lecturer. He is always working on several new ideas, there are some that he is concerned with coming up with, testing, and bringing to market. He would like to understand the essence of innovation and understand it with university researchers and industry players. It is his belief that the task of researchers is primarily to serve the narrow environment, domestic industry and local people, and only through this to solve global issues. As  professor at the University of Debrecen he teaches physical chemistry, automatisation, toxicology, application of biosensors and functional food development courses. Owner of two companies, author of more than 400 scientific publications and 6 patents. His research area is the nano technology, production of selenium, tellurium, carbon nanoparticles and testing its effects. Recently he deal with the intruduction of sensors and automatisation in food related technologies. He gives presentations on conferencies and works for companies in Finland as well. He participated and still participating in more EU and Hungarian research projects. He worked for two years as a postdoc for the Institute of Reference Materials and Measurement (BCR-IRMM) in Geel, Belgium.
